JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
Experience advising on global privacy and data protection laws.
Preferred qualifications:
5 years of experience with legal, regulatory or corporate compliance in the field of privacy and data protection, including strategically addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
Experience developing, advising, and evaluating programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
Experience engaging with regulators, including State Attorney General (AG), Federal Trade Comission (FTC), and global data protection authorities.
Experience working with technology companies, with an understanding of complex technical issues.
Ability to be action-oriented and seek to meet the highest standards of integrity.
Excellent written/verbal communication, time management, and investigative skills.
