About the Role

You’ll lead core functions like strategic planning, market and competitive analysis, investment prioritization, geographic strategy, and the development of operational rhythms. You'll play a central role in setting short-, medium-, and long-term priorities for Retail in Mexico and driving alignment across teams to deliver results.

As a strategic partner to the Mexico Retail General Manager, you'll help drive business performance by enhancing efficiency, improving cross-functional collaboration, and identifying thoughtful growth opportunities. You'll also help define business needs for tools and processes, and lead experiments designed to accelerate growth and improve operational excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with the Mexico Retail GM to define and execute the strategic roadmap across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons.

  • Lead strategic planning cycles, including annual plans, quarterly reviews, and business performance tracking.

  • Design and manage the Retail team’s operating cadence to ensure visibility, accountability, and cross-functional alignment.

  • Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform decisions around prioritization and resource allocation.

  • Build and optimize frameworks for geographic expansion, performance management, and investment strategy.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), and lead deep-dive analyses to surface business insights.

  • Collaborate with teams across Operations, Sales, Product, Finance, Marketing, Policy, and Comms to move strategic initiatives forward.

  • Own and deliver high-impact projects that unlock growth, efficiency, or innovation within Retail.

  • Help improve tools, processes, and documentation to scale operations and drive continuous improvement.

  • Step in to lead priority initiatives as needed, such as cross-functional pilots or organizational projects.

What You’ll Need
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in strategy, business planning, business operations, consulting, analytics, tech, finance, or a related field.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen (P&L and ROI).

  • Forecasting and investment prioritization

  • Experience working with both regional and global teams and driving cross-functional execution.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in both English and Spanish.

  • A data-driven mindset with excellent analytical skills—you’re comfortable using data to shape strategy.

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides.

  • SQL Experience is a MUST

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • 3+ years of experience in Retail (e.g., Groceries, Pharma, Convenience) or E-commerce, particularly in high-growth or fast-paced environments.

  • A proven track record of defining strategy and executing it across tech or consumer-focused companies.

  • Strong financial acumen and a clear understanding of ROI, investment trade-offs, and performance drivers.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools, with experience translating data into actionable insights.

  • Experience building and scaling business planning processes and operating cadences.

  • Sharp problem-solving skills and strong business judgment—you can dive into the details while keeping the big picture in focus.

  • A bias for action, ownership mentality, and the ability to influence without formal authority.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on approach—you’re excited to test, learn, and adapt quickly.

  • An MBA or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Math, or a related field.
