As a Utility Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Knows and understands all machine safety requirements
- Applies edge spraying as required
- Performs hand lamination and assembly of parts
- Operates baling machine and scrap disposal as required
- Performs pulling, sorting, packaging and labeling of parts
- Work from written and verbal instructions, produce customer parts following shop order and working file
- Advise Supervisor of any discrepancies to job orders
- Work from pick tickets and drawings
- Assists in the setup of die press
- Verify pick tickets to ensure part numbers, revision level, tolerance and material used for accuracy
- Perform in-process quality checks of parts against print
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem solving
- Training and overseeing new contingent workers
- Use a variety of general precision measuring and cutting equipment
- Maintain required records
- Move and lift materials as necessary in the performance of duties as directed
- 5S Participation
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
