As a Front-End Engineer at AWS, you will be innovative and have excellent problem solving, analytical, and technical skills. You enjoy simplifying complex problems and tackling tough challenges with a focus on implementing front-end best principles and practices. You are comfortable working independently, pairing with other senior engineers, and mentoring other team members through complex technical solutions. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to implement best practices and to learn and enforce standards for front end development.On-call ResponsibilityThis position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault-tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don't get paged for the same issue twice.About the team
