Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will work on SaaS web applications that can handle large-scale graph data. You will build skills in modeling, visualization, language, and develop an interactive product with performant user experience. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Scienceor related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
    • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • React and Data visualization experience.
  • Problem-solving skills and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and perform at an elevated level in a fast passed and dynamic environment .
  • Proven record of accomplishment in shipping successful products.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will:

  • appropriate codingpatterns and best practices.
  • Drive - Have passion to turn vision into detailed plans and execute against complex plans. Coordinating with PMs, and UX design team in driving clarity of functional requirements and intuitive user experience. Lead design discussion with the team and share findings/learnings from investigation, hold ownership for design decisions.
  • Planning and Deliver – Participate in sprint and semester planning, provide scope estimates. Communicate individual status on deliverables, risks in stand-ups and sprint reviews.  Accountable to deliver results based on business priority and team commitment.
