About this role:

The Homefront Heroes Hiring (HHH) Program is designed to attract and hire spouses and domestic partners of actively serving military personnel to career opportunities through a military spouse-specific virtual hiring event and onboarding program.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish strong partnership with Consumer, Small & Business Banking line of business, specifically Branch Banking, National Branch Network, Affluent/Premier Banking, Branch Oversight & Support, Branch Systems & Transformation, Chief Admin Office (CAO), Diverse Customer Segments as well as Third Party Program, Third Party Center of Excellence (COE), Strategic Sourcing and other key stakeholders and business partners to share best practices and identify efficiency and effectiveness opportunities while maintaining compliance with Policy and procedures.
  • Provide Third Party Risk Management subject matter expertise for Primary Business Liaison (PBL) engagement managers, relationship managers, business owners, and Control Teams.
  • Conduct training on a quarterly basis, at a minimum, on Third Party Program Policy and Procedure updates to the PBL and relationship managers, and where applicable, Control Team and business owners and/or other business leaders.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness as well as cost savings by optimizing supplier/vendor spend and cross-group utilization in partnership with the business.
  • Work closely with Business, Third Party Program, and the Control Executive team for resolution of complex questions, interpreting third party risk requirements, directing the completion of onboarding activities, annual reviews, and assessments, while coordinating risk acceptances, and remediation with the appropriate SHRP Risk Acceptance and Group Issue Management teams.
  • Lead routine meetings with business line PBLs and relationship managers to ensure timely execution is occurring for all required activities under the Third-Party Program lifecycle requirements 1-5.
  • Ensure visibility to high-risk relationships including but not limited to critical activity engagements, and ensure performance, SLAs, issues, and business reviews are completed and escalated timely.
  • Partner with and/or execute timely on GTPO team required procedures such as identification of third-party issues, research of potential program violations, and root cause analyses of key indicator or issues.
  • Assist in addressing any key indicator breaches or issues identified through recommendations of sustainable, risk based corrective action plans, risk acceptances and/or escalation protocols in accordance with Risk Acceptance, Issue Management Policies and Consumer, Small & Business Banking GTPO Team-specific protocols.
  • Drive proactive third-party risk management practices by the business through risk identification, analysis, trending, and reporting.
  • Credibly challenge the management of CSBB third parties by PBL and relationship managers, including but not limited to required Program deliverables, critical activities, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide leadership in management of relationships and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives with cross functional business partners.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Experience with risk management framework elements, including risk identification, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of first, second and third line of defense risk models and practice.
  • Ability to produce a copy of military orders including applicant name
