In Project Kuiper Enterprise Technology, we build the software, services, and infrastructure that enable our program to design and engineer the future of LEO Satellite based broadband services.As an IT Support Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the centralized IT Support operations across Kuiper Facilities. In this this role, you will provide leadership to a team that is responsible for central IT Support Operations. You will build and develop a team of engineers to perform IT Support functions and report key operational metrics to the business. You will work closely with stakeholders across various hardware design, software and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long-term product roadmaps.
Key job responsibilities
- In this new role you will build and lead a centralized team of IT Support Engineers across multiple locations.
- Assist & manage relationships with external vendors & contractors.
- Accountable for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
- Responsible for strategic planning and forecasting; performance appraisal; problems resolution; and staffing needs.- Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the globe.- Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies that include incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management. and inventory management.- Communicate technical information across all levels of the organizationExport Control Requirements: Due to the need to access certain federal controlled information, you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.A day in the life

- Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations experience
- 4+ years of leading technology teams as a information technology operations manager experience
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of change concepts, problem and incident management
- Financial acumen in annual budgeting, Capex and Opex
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience in safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution.
- Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
- 4+ years of experience with mission critical infrastructure support.
