Key responsibilities

Manage and foster a team environment of shared ownership and collaboration.

  • The team is comprised of employees and an external agency. Grow a team and ensure every individual is delivering their best work and has the proper scope.

Utilize understanding of software industry, including knowledge of AI, the role of the hyper scalers, the importance of an ecosystem, business modeling to maximize SAP perceptions.

  • Deliver storytelling, both in the moment and in formal communication, that translates tech capabilities into business strategies.

  • Discover and understand our solution positioning, in direct partnership with product and marketing.

  • Contribute beyond Analyst Relations.

  • Be a Global Communications team player and an SAP leader.

Strategically engage with analysts to bring insights to inform and influence SAP strategies and foster mutually beneficial relationships.

  • SAP has approximately 900 analysts, the leader must be able to engage with a broad spectrum from thought leaders to technical gurus as well as the functional roles at Gartner such as sales leadership, comms, legal, finance.  Ability to curate the most influential analyst community.

Manage resources to maximize SAP impact.

  • Manage a multimillion dollar budget, understanding that budget tells the SAP priority story, ability to negotiate with Gartner and keep relationship strong.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product managers, marketing teams, and executives to shape messaging and go-to-market strategies aligned with analyst research, market trends and analyst feedback.

  • Focus on helping SAP spokespeople be their best, knowledge of key trends, shaping the conversation, industry partnerships.

  • Possess executive maturity, ability to influence and support board members, L1s.  Primary stakeholders are CMOs and CPOs.

  • Lead and collaborate across several lines of business. Partner closely with our company HQ in Germany, and teams distributed globally

Successfully manage key evaluative research instruments such as Gartner Magic Quadrants and IDC market-scapes, as well as other analyst reports, blogs and social content.

  • Ability to prioritize response efforts to maximize impact, demonstrated ability on successful escalation that advanced long-term relationships, ability to direct resources, especially those that do not report into Global Communications.

Requirements

  • Strongly prefer enterprise business application industry experience with the ability to quickly discern product truth and translate to the business value and creative story telling.

  • Prefer 5+ years of experience managing an AR team with a global focus.

  • Ability to influence & lead cross functional teams with an emphasis on being a relationship builder; you work well across functions and at all levels of an organization.

  • A passion for championing the voice of the analysts and being a source of business neutrality.

  • Creative thinking to develop innovative solutions for either day-to-day obstacles or future opportunities.
