The key focus areas for the team include:Architecting the entire sensor system for each product—defining key figures of merit, setting specifications, and authoring requirements specifications for the entire sensor-system-tree to guarantee the customer experienceBuilding comprehensive sensor models that capture the entire signal chain—physical, electrical, and algorithmic—to streamline algorithm prototyping and guarantee performance in high-volume productionFirst-principles physical modeling and analysis to better understand design tradeoffs in our sensor designs and efficiently intuit optimal solutionsCo-architect and assess design tradeoffs with partner teams like display, wireless charging, and product design, to ensure best-possible performance for the entire product Identifying novel sensing architectures and similar opportunities to significantly impact performance.
  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • B.S. Degree in one of these fields: Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics.
  • Deep understanding of electrical engineering, transducer physics, and system engineering
  • Experience in modeling, building, and testing complex multi-physics systems
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and COMSOL or equivalent packages
  • Ability to add clarity to ambiguous design spaces, independently converge technical issues, and align efforts across teams
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Signal processing techniques, both analog and digital
  • Linear algebra, probability, and statistics
  • Software architecture best practices for complicated tool flows
  • Circuit simulation experience
