As part of the GDS-IA team, you will be collaborating with EY teams across Oceania, US, Canada, UKI, Western Europe and Maghreb (WEM) and Singapore. You will be part of a vibrant and dynamic team that will be responsible for -
- leading end to end engagement across the life cycle of Infrastructure project
- preparing business proposals and presentations
- carrying out and research and data collection, conduct analyses in a variety of fields within public and private sector
- providing support from project evaluation to procurement, and financial close that includes:
- Plan and scope projects, manage stakeholders
- Infrastructure procurement (Bid evaluation) support including financial capacity analysis , and techno commercial analysis
- Study of public-private partnership (PPP) financing model and contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Write policy papers, develop relevant recommendations
- Develop and review project finance and CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) model
- Deliver a robust business case report
- supporting engagements for strategically manage capital and transactions, asset sales, and divestments
- Managing portfolio and capital allocations more efficiently through company outside in analysis
- Develop Industry factbooks and Points of View
- Feasibility studies and business plan assessment
Skills and attributes for success
- Deep understanding of the private infrastructure sector, including core infrastructure that includes Transport, Power and Utilities and Renewables, Healthcare, Logistics, Construction and Real estate. The candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in at least one of these areas and a willingness to expand their knowledge across others.
- Strong financial analysis skill and hands-on experience in analysing financial statements of infrastructure projects and infrastructure companies.
- Exceptional business writing and research skills
- Ability to think strategically about the go-to-market approach for different infrastructure sectors. This includes understanding the competitive landscape, identifying target clients, and developing tailored strategies to engage them.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting the on-shore team and collaborating with colleagues across different functions and geographies.
- The infrastructure sector is constantly evolving, so candidates must be adaptable and able to quickly learn new information and skills.
- Hands-on experience in preparing business proposals for C-suites of Infrastructure companies
- Hands-on experience in using MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint is a must; while someone with experience of Power BI will be an advantage
- Knowledge of research databases like Factiva, ThomsonONE, Capital IQ, BMI, Inframation, Pitchbook etc. will be an added advantage
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Minimum of a Post Graduate in Management / MBA from a reputed college / University. Specialization in Finance / Power / Infrastructure Management will be preferred.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience working in Infrastructure sector (working in either transport, health and human services or power and utilities sectors)
- Demonstrated experience of undertaking quality research and producing high quality written reports
- Demonstrated experience of undertaking financial modelling in the context of Infrastructure projects will be an advantage
