Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be a thought leader in technical writing, bringing industry best practices and innovations
  • Analyze customer feedback and data to improve documentation experiences
  • Utilize content management systems and other tools for efficient document creation
  • Learn and understand complex technical products quickly to produce accurate documentation
  • Review and refine technical documents to ensure clarity and accuracy prior to publication

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience managing technical writing teams (6+ writers).

Preferred Qualification:

  • Impeccable Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to estimate, plan, and deliver documentation projects on time.
  • Bias for Action: Proven ability to create and implement scalable processes and drive initiatives forward.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with programming languages, APIs, SDKs, and web-app concepts.
  • Portfolio: Ability to showcase a portfolio of technical content created in previous roles.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to delivering accurate and engaging content.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize a strong vision fordocumentation-as-a-productwhile balancing resources and risks.
  • Operational Strength: Proven ability to operationalize strategies, execute pragmatic plans, and deliver high-quality documentation experiences.
  • Analytical Depth: Data-driven approach to identifying customer pain points and improving documentation quality.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong cross-functional skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder expectations and build lasting relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $100,500 to $173,250
