Job Description:

Reporting to the European Head of Power & Utilities, the Vice President's primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Lead the execution of M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory mandates
• Oversee financial modeling, including valuation and transaction analyses
• Co-ordinate with cross-border energy colleagues of all seniority levels. Serve as a leader / mentor to junior colleagues and a trusted partner to senior business leadership
• Develop, maintain and manage relationships with clients – both in the context of transaction execution and business development
• Lead in the preparation and presentation of materials for client meetings including complex analyses and strategic recommendations
• Develop and leverage sector domain expertise and take a leadership role in certain industry verticals
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of work prepared by junior colleagues

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years of relevant investment banking (or similar – ie. private equity or infrastructure funds) work experience
• Experience in and / or deep interest in the energy, power and utilities industry
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills with knowledge and experience utilizing key valuation methodologies in transaction execution
• Track-record of transaction execution on behalf of large corporate and financial sponsor clients across product types with a focus on M&A
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to succinctly articulate complex topics effectively to clients and colleagues
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject with outstanding academic qualifications
• Ability to speak another European language preferred
