The Asset Services senior individual contributor role is within Custody Operations and represented globally across the NAM, LATAM, EMEA and APAC regions. The Asset Services department is responsible for timely and accurate processing of Corporate Actions, Income, Event Capture and Proxy events. It is one of the highest risk areas within operations.

The role requires the individual to have extensive SME knowledge in Asset Services inclusive of global oversight control standards, proactive risk management practices and utilizing KPIs/KRIs to drive success and mitigate risk.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for independent governance and oversight, training and execution globally.
  • Define and execute global Asset Servicing control framework, standards and best practices for manual and systemic processes and controls. Monitor local control compliance. Identify any gaps, assess the approach to close and execute remediation to achieve global consistency.
  • Monitor metric trends and utilize data insights to drive improvements to performance and risk measures. Conduct root cause analysis and execute remediation with local teams.
  • Key lead for deep dive SME / ORM process and control reviews partnering with risk & control, product and technology to drive operations simplification, consistency, and standardization.
  • Execute on process and control enhancements identified by process re-engineering and deep dives.
  • Key lead for internal/external audits and regulators.
  • Lead the development and delivery of globally consistent training tools for local execution.
  • Define and execute global risk reduction initiatives and proactive risk management tools including but not limited to executive dashboards, work flow, checklists and exception management in partnership with Custody Ops Transformation team, Technology, Product and Regional Asset Servicing Heads.
  • Partner with regional Asset Servicing heads on the execution of achieving OTE standards and define appropriate timeframes whilst proactively considering any impact to processing and clients.
  • Partner with local processing leads to drive the execution of the OTE strategy.

  • Continue to contribute to the overall firms Culture and Talent Goals.
  • Contribute to the execution of the People and Engagement strategy.
  • Lead and co-ordinate change following VOE results.
  • Establish and contribute to Global Training Framework. Adhere to Training approach for new starts with training modules and training plans. Ensure an efficient training structure is in place.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust service and control environment.
  • Coaching and mentoring our People.
  • Championing diversity and inclusion to create a working environment which allows our People to thrive and excel.

Organisational Transformation:

  • Driving and supporting the delivery of strategic platform re-engineering initiatives, reducing manual touch points. Ensuring operational teams are ready to support following new releases and control environments remain strong.
  • Driving the implementation of initiatives to continuously improve Straight Through Processing (STP) rates and productivity, including the use of robotics, workflow and other innovative re-engineering techniques.
  • Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise.
  • Strong risk management and control mindset. Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.

What we'll need from you:

  • 10+ years of senior SME experience in Asset Services Operations.
  • Experience in strategic delivery preferred.
  • Strong communicator and ability to articulate complex scenarios into requirements.
  • Ability to partner and influence across levels and business areas.
