Local Accounting (LAC) contains the local accounting activities in a given country and ensures compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements and regulations.
Statutory compliance and Tax compliance services are provided partially by Ernst and Young (BPO).

Cost Controller, Service Excellence responsibilities:

  • Manage Digitax Billing file (including FX application, check on correctness – changes, contract)
    • Ensure correctness of Billing File, by ensuring correct approvals, reviews internally /externally, tracking of changes (CRN impact) etc.
  • Create Digitax engagement related Purchase Orders (central POs, local letters, Digitax related PBS POs) and manage related timely PO issuance and invoicing with Nokia Procurement & BPO provider based on agreed terms & conditions, approval flows, matching with Billing File
    • Manage PO updates with FX changes
    • Manage GR booking for all Digitax POs - based billing file and/or service received
    • Tracking if Claim credit is billed (if applicable)
    • Commenting of P2P130 GR/IR Aging review SOX control - follow up with S2P
    • Commenting of P2P121 SOX report PO maintenance (for making accrual)
    • Commenting on SAP Archive/Closure of Indirect POs older than 18 months
    • Manage invoicing issues, disputes internally and with BPO partner
  • Manage Miscellaneous Services Tracking & update and cost calculation
  • Manage LE & Accruals related to BPO engagement, monthly & yearly closure related activities, invoice checks, accruals, MRC check and follow up with internal stakeholders (Procurement, GPOs, approvers) etc.
    • Pool documentation & review - consumption review, annual pool credit review
    • Billing vs MRC calculations
    • Accrual creation
    • Deviation reporting for Management escalation
  • Monitor & follow up CRN & PBS tracker completeness, liaise with Procurement responsible people, Facilitation of CRN / PBS approval calls
  • Manage Local vendor creation and master data changes on a need basis
  • Manage Digitax & Region Acctg Cost Center & CC Approver list
  • Cost center ownership for cost centers for tax & statutory compliance
  • Ensure all related calculation, tracking file, process documentation is up-to-date and saved to designated Sharepoint
  • Close cooperation and communication with the Regional Accounting and other NBS Streams
  • Continuously monitors performance, proposing and implementing process improvement to increase transparency, data correctness & data quality
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Written and spoken English
  • Other language skills are advantage
  • Experience and good understanding of Region Acctg, FPRA, R2R and S2P tools & processes
  • 5 years+ experience in RA/FPRA/R2R/S2P processes + SAP
  • Good understanding of Internal Controls landscape
  • Finance, economics degree
  • Good team player, precise, reliable, able to meet deadlines

  • Good written & verbal communication
