Your Role and Responsibilities

• Develop automated test scenarios and environments, including automating the provisioning of test clusters for performance testing, to improve problem determination and performance data analysis.
• Collect and analyze performance results, including resource consumption measurements, to ensure application and system functionality, stability, and scalability with resource efficiency.
• Identify and build performance workloads based on performance test plan.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement or optimization within products and its dependent areas.
• Lead the effort to deliver performance and scalability benchmark reports.
• Manage IBM Cloud Pak for Data Stack, tune cluster environments, work with Kubernetes, OpenShift and other open-source technology and tools in various clouds environment.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and propose data driven optimizations.
• Manage IBM Cloud Pak for Data and Watsonx stack, tune cluster environments, work with Kubernetes, OpenShift and other open-source technology and tools in various cloud environment such as IBM cloud, AWS, Azure, and IBM internal cloud.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Overall 5 years of Software/Performance Testing experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, and debugging skills.
• Strong experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl, shell script, etc), concept and usage of DBMS systems
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, or Windows
• At least 2 years of experience with test script development including but not limited to JMeter or Selenium.
• At least 1 year experience with OpenShift Console and monitoring.
• Solid working knowledge in automation development.
• Expertise in using Github and Jenkins and building CI/CD pipelines.
• Very quick learner of technology, be able to multi-task, and thrive in complex situation.
• More importantly, someone who loves to work with systems and software, wants to understand the internals and makes systems run ultra-fast at lowest cost!

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with any of the following would be a strong asset but not required.
• Computer architecture, storage sub-system and virtualization (e.g., Docker, Linux Containers, KVM, Xen, VMware)
• Various cloud env such as AWS, Azure or IBM Cloud.
• RedHat OpenShift, Jupyter notebooks, Kubernetes systems, Hadoop and related projects.
