Job Overview
Candidate will be responsible for improving quality performance of automotive chips during production ramp, and high-volume manufacturing.
Analyze yield, process, diagnostic, and semiconductor test data to ramp production volume, support lot disposition, drive baseline yield improvement, and isolate root causes of yield loss and product performance degradation.
Support foundry / assembly house on process qualification, test house management, test probe card, load board and tester validation on performance over process and operating condition, debug and release test program into mass production.
Collaborate with wafer foundries, assembly and test houses and Qualcomm PTE (product and test engineering) team to isolate root causes of yield loss and burn-in failures, and drive improvements.
Interface with management and business teams to provide yield outlook for product planning and cost analysis.
Lead teams and task forces to address and drive Automotive process improvement during safe launch
Required Qualifications
10+ years experience with semiconductor manufacturing and testing
Good understanding of VLSI test techniques.
Basic understanding of digital/analog functional block and electronic circuits.
Basic data analysis skills.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Proactive working attitude.
Capable to handle new challenge.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with automotive safe launch process and zero defect mindset.
Basic knowledge of design for test, design for manufacturing, design for experiment.
Basic knowledge of reliability test, and quality concept.
Basic knowledge of foundry process, assembly process, and failure analysis.
Good experience with data analytical tools
Understand yield management, continuous improvement and cost reduction in a high volume fabless semiconductor environment
Understand test house working model, supply chain and KPI.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
