As a Technical Program Manager II , you will be responsible for:

• Creating program plans including detailed work breakdown structures, as well as resource, communication, and risk plans.
• Analyzing risks and developing contingency plans so the teams don't lose focus, and escalate as necessary.
• Structuring and delivering key strategic projects by leading cross-functional groups to synthesize feedback and deliver on objectives
• Communicating program status and expectation changes to senior leaders with appropriate frequency, using standardized methods.
• Leading multiple teams through roadmap development, requirements gathering and execution, tracking KPIs.
• Leading programs that improve the reliability and performance of Akamai Products

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of experience in project management in a cross functional/technical team
• Demonstrate experience working within a technical team and a good understanding of the software development life cycle
• Have good interpersonal and organizational skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Have experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
• Have experience in Identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestones
• Have knowledge and application of Site Reliability Engineering, and concepts like Observability, Reliability, Availability, and Performance
