The role of Contracts & Commercial Manager is a key role, being responsible for:

Project activities, by means of direct execution or by coordination of a team of Subcontracts / Procurement managers / engineers that will:

  • Develop subcontracting strategies or Procurement (management) plans during Projects execution
  • Organize Subcontractors or Vendors prequalification processes
  • Organize tender processes for Subcontractors or Vendors selection
  • Manage post-order phases of Subcontracts or Purchase Orders including, but not limited to: progress evaluation (supported by Construction Management team), invoicing approval / payment (made by Owner or by the Company), Potential Change Orders negotiation, Preparation of Subcontract change orders / amendments and/or PO revisions based on the approved Change Orders and / or Field Variation Requests, identification of potential issues that may rise to a claim and submission to Project team for possible resolution, management of claims that may come from Subcontractors, Vendors etc.
  • Manage the close out phase of Subcontracts or Purchase Orders including, but not limited to: final claims evaluation and resolution process, Subcontracts / Purchase Orders final payments process and formal close out etc.

All listed activities are to be executed in coordination with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Management, Construction Management, Legal, Project Control and Finance (if requested) during project execution

  • The Contracts and Commercial Manager is reporting to the Head of Construction
  • Supports to ensure that department procedures are up to date and applicable in Germany
  • Supports and mentors less experienced team members
  • Support the increase of Business opportunities by leveraging on Clients, Vendors and Subcontractors networks
Das bringst Du mit
  • Fluent English and German language knowledge is a must. Knowledge of Italian and/or French language is a plus
  • Availability to frequent travels or short term assignments abroad is required by the position
