We are looking for a passionate, talented and inventive DSP Firmware engineer to join our team. In this role, you will:
· Design and implement state of the art embedded Audio DSP algorithms and firmware in resource constrained environment.
· Be the single threaded owner of Audio DSP deliveries across Lab126.
· Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products
· Work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test
· Be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment

Key job responsibilities
Audio DSP Engineer (DSPE) L6 is responsible for designing experiments to test and prove solutions, solving complex problems with optimal implementation of the audio algorithm in real-time on target platforms (DSP and/or ARM), leading and executing projects, with specific focus in audio processing, developing a deep understanding of each problem, and creating value and impacting the direction of the team and other close teams and products. The person should be an expert in C and C++ software development with particular focus on low-level DSP machine language instructions and embedded firmware while having a deep understanding of signal processing for audio, speech, and acoustics, to accomplish this.About the team
The team is made up of DSP FW and Algorithm engineers working across a plethora of projects. The team is the Single Threaded Owner (STO) of all Audio DSP images produced within LAb126. We work on a variety of DSPs and HW platforms implementing designs in both C/C++, assembly language, and MATLAB. Machine learning and low-power optimizations are the norm for the team.
- 8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 10+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
