The Role
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of nine engineers through highly complex and highly impactful projects.
- Manage multiple work streams and high-priority projects, collaborating with various cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and establish timelines.
- Drive the technical vision and strategy, with a strong emphasis on overseeing its successful execution.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with your interdependent engineering teams
- Prioritize growing your engineers as leaders and technical experts
- Support and foster operational excellence within the team.

Must haves:- 5+ years of experience managing consumer-facing product teams.
- Deep knowledge of how to build systems in a distributed environment.
- Ability to identify code-smell or poor architecture design. We have fantastic engineers but everyone can use input and/coaching.
Nice To Have Skills:- Experience working on Messaging.
- Experience working with ML Researchers, Algorithm Engineers or Data Scientists.
- Knowledge and experience working with machine learning systems.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $190,000 - $920,000.
