Responsibilities
This role has end to end responsibility for the planning and executing of marketing programs in Hong Kong for the EY financial services team. Key responsibilities include:
- Effective marketing program planning that aligns to the broader BMC objectives and to the business strategy of Financial Services Greater China.
- Develop marketing programs that integrate a mix of marketing channels including client events, sponsorship, thought leadership, social and digital channels and media activities.
- Support the Financial Services Greater China partners with:
- Strategic marketing programs that strengthen the brand and build strong relationships with c-suite of large banks, wealth and asset managers, and insurance companies.
- Internal communication and promotion of sales and marketing initiatives that demonstrate our success in the market.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of a core set of internal communication channels, consistent with the Asia-Pacific Area (e.g., intranet, film, townhall, webcast, newsletter, Managing Partner’s comms) and drive consistent internal and external messaging.
- Oversee all external communications that drive marketing programs, such as drafting of client invitations, leader’s newsletters and translations from English to Cantonese.
- Effectively team with peers and colleagues across BMC to execute on marketing programs both within the Greater China Financial Services team, the broader Regional Financial Services BMC team and the Asia-Pacific BMC community at large.
- Build relationships with EY agency teams (e.g., graphic designers, videographers, digital channels, social media team) and external suppliers that creatively enhance our execution around marketing materials and events.
- Work with our local and regional PR teams to drive a strong pipeline of content for proactive media opportunities for our most experienced partners in Greater China Financial Services.
- Ensure written communication materials follow internal compliance procedures before being promoted externally.
- Manage marketing programs according to the budget allocated and deliver initiatives on time.
- Where appropriate identify resourcing issues during busy periods and elevate these issues to the Financial Services Greater China Marketing Leader for support and assistance.
- Uphold professional standards at all times, act as a trusted advisor to our Financial Services partners and protect the overall reputation of BMC.
Working experiences and skills
- 10+ years’ experience in professional services, B2B environment or financial service industry
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of event management, business development, media and socialmediawould be plus
- Strong stakeholder management
- Prior background working in a large matrix organization is essential
- Experience in project management and budget management essential
- Real-world experience for different marketing methods
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, track records of developing and implementing high profile events
- Cross-border teaming experience essential
- Ability to be self-motivated, solution focused and experienced at managing internal client relationships
Academic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing domain, MBA is plus
Other requirements
- Understanding of professional services is preferred
- Strong communication, team spirit and leadership skills
- Good time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong self-motivation and pressure handling skill
- Self-learning skill and quickly adaptable to a fast-changing environment
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin would be plus
- Overseas experience is desired
