During your internship, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating new artificial intelligence algorithms for Robotics inspired in the human-AI interaction, like efficient multimodal architectures and pipelines for vision/language/control systems. This requires some familiarity with techniques in machine learning, deep learning, robot control and/or natural language processing, and relevant software frameworks, also explore methods to improve retrieval-based pipelines from complex metadata in documents.
You will use your knowledge of scientific principles to suggest and research promising approaches, also you will work in a team-oriented collaborative environment to meet your goals. You are expected to utilize state-of-the-art principles and theories. Form strong relationships with university researchers and key collaborators, and the explorations around RAG pipelines for reducing hallucinations and optimization (quantization, distillation, and other memory efficient methods) of the LLMs to run them on the XPU platform to contribute to Intel technologies and/or the scientific literature.
You will be expected to focus on a specific project of mutual interest to you and your mentor(s), focusing on a key research question that will move your work forward.
