Your key responsibilities
Technical Excellence
Data Management: Efficiently manage and organize electronic discovery data within eDiscovery platforms and databases, ensuring accurate tracking and preservation of electronic evidence.
Document Review and Analysis: Utilize eDiscovery tools to perform document review and analysis, identifying relevant information according to case criteria and legal requirements.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency with eDiscovery software and tools such as Relativity, Nuix, or similar platforms. Ability to leverage technology to streamline the discovery process.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality control checks on processed data and document review outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
Legal Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements related to eDiscovery, including data privacy laws, and ensure all activities comply with these regulations.
Problem-Solving: Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the eDiscovery process, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in eDiscovery technology and apply this knowledge to improve processes and workflows.
Time Management: Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of eDiscovery requests.
Client Service Orientation: Provide excellent service to internal and external clients, understanding their needs and delivering eDiscovery solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Attention to Detail: Pay meticulous attention to detail when handling sensitive and complex data, ensuring integrity and confidentiality are maintained throughout the eDiscovery process.
Adaptability: Adapt to changing case requirements and be flexible in adjusting workflows and strategies to meet evolving needs.
Skills and attributes
To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications in eDiscovery tools and platforms, such as Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or Relativiyt Certified User (RCU), are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in eDiscovery software (e.g., Relativity, Nuix, Clearwell, Reveal).
Understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and its application in the legal discovery process.
Knowledge of data processing, data management, and document review workflows.
Familiarity with legal document types and terminologies.
Basic understanding of litigation support and legal hold procedures.
Experience with data collection and preservation techniques.
Professional Experience:
1 to 2 years of experience in an eDiscovery or legal technology role.
Experience working with legal teams and understanding their requirements for discovery.
Prior involvement in managing electronic data for litigation, investigations, or regulatory requests.
