Lead - GBS RTR (Record to Report)


Key areas of accountability:

  • The incumbent will be responsible for leading the Overall RTR Process Organization from the Global Hub (India & China), will be leading multiple Process Leads (organized as COE) to complete financial accounting activities & ensure high-quality delivery with seamless collaboration across Vendors, Oversight Team & Business/Market Finance.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for Performance Outcomes & periodic review of Third Party Vendor who are supporting Hub RTR Organization
  • The incumbent will be responsible for Group Internal & Statutory audits for the Organization.
  • Incumbent with working closely with Business/Zone Finance and global process owners to ensure all financial accounting activities of the RTR process are executed with appropriate controls and end-to-end view
  • Work closely with Vendors, Business/Market Finance and global process owners to build capabilities for executing centralised financial accounting processes, which allows the company to leverage its size, and improve both the efficiency & effectiveness (Productivity & Quality) of the finance organization.
  • Aligns with internal control compliance for reliable financial reporting; and compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Responsible for standardization and simplification of processes including digitization & RPA.
  • Responsible for leading and partnering on transformational initiatives.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Philips Standard Processes (PEPF). Drive improvements in Quality & achievement of KPIs at the Global level.
  • Pre-empts and Investigates data irregularities and drives corrective sustainable actions proactively
  • Takes decisions on administrative or operational matters for Finance processes and ensures effective achievement of Performance objectives.
  • Drives improvement projects, upstream and downstream of finance processes with support from IT and other enablers
  • Closely work with the Finance Leadership Team to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Will be responsible for leading & developing high-quality team. Ensure Knowledge Transfer & management, Cross Training.
  • Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior-level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization

Technical/Functional Competencies:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in successfully driving Finance Process Organisation in Captive Shared Service/Global Business Services Organization. Last 5+ yrs should be in a Top Leadership position influencing a large group of people
  • Demonstrate commercial mindset and strong business acumen, proven ability to deliver actionable insights in complex and global business set-ups
  • Experience of having managed a large size (100+) of experienced finance professionals
  • He/She should be a Program/Project & Change Management expert
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel, ERP (SAP preferred) and PowerPoint
  • Experience with reporting & analytical tools, like Power BI, Qlikview, Qliksense,Business-Intelligenceenvironments, SQL, etc.
  • Strong affinity to LEAN processes and tools
