The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits. This role will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function, payroll function, monthly closing of accounts, and preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
o Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of accounting processes.
o Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
o Review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
o Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
o Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable (external and intercompany):
o Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation.
o Manage accounts receivable functions, including customer billing, collections, and credit control.
4. Payroll Management:
o Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
o Handle payroll tax compliance and reporting.
5. Month-End Closing and Financial Analysis:
o Lead the month-end closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
o Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
6. Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
o Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
7. Accounting System Maintenance and Digitalization:
o Evaluate and enhance existing accounting systems (such as ERP software) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
o Drive digital transformation efforts within the accounting department, including process automation, data analytics, and cloud-based solutions.8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with other departments (such as finance, operations, and legal) to ensure alignment and accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
