THE POSITION

Network Engineerspecializing in LAN, WAN, and Wireless technologies, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.

This position will report into the Data Center Network & Infra Director and will work out of our Morris Plains, Charlotte or Houston location on a hybrid work schedule. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical expertise in network solutions.

As a Network Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. Your expertise in LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies will be instrumental in maintaining a robust and reliable network environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical expertise in network solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and resolving issues to maintain network availability and performance.
  • Conduct network capacity planning and optimization to ensure adequate resources for current and future needs.
  • Implement and enforce network security best practices, including access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in network engineering, bringing innovative ideas to drive continuous improvement.

This position is intended toconvey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materialswhen the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 orearly 2026.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, including experience with LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.

PREFERRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Zscaler Implementation
  • Experience in driving digital transformation and change management
  • Strong vendor management skills & experience working across geographies
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with network security best practices and technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based networking solutions.
  • Continuous learning and self-motivation.
