Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible to Singapore plant yield performances and processes capabilities.

In this role you will provide Process Engineering support to Singapore plant on cost of poor quality (COPQ) and Safety improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • The job holder is responsible to Singapore plant yield performance and processes capabilities
  • The job holder is responsible to implement new process capability to Singapore plant
  • The job holder shall be experienced and fully competent in all processes
  • The job holder shall be able to identifies key issues, underlying causes and finds solutions in moderately complex problem through A4, A3 or DMAIC approach
  • The job holder shall be able to lead the projects; new process capability, key problems, etc
  • The job holder shall be able to perform machine and process qualification; IQ, OQ, PQ, CV, BER, etc
  • The job holder shall be able to monitor and control project costs effectively
  • The job holder shall be able to take a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions
  • The job holder shall be able to manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for specific work activities in own area over the short/medium term, including forecasting resource requirements
  • The job holder shall adapt information/style to the audience and explains difficult issues and situations clearly
  • The job holder shall promote teamwork and work to establish consensus, attains agreement
  • The job holder can also be an informal mentor or coach
  • Other duties as assigned
Education
  • Bachelor’s engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in yield and process capability improvement are required
  • Highly developed interpersonal/communication skills
  • Sound know-how and experience in Project management
  • Highly analytical and structured way of working
  • Self-motivated, results- and solution-oriented personality
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable of rubber/plastics knowledge and pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing environment would be an added advantage
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with teams across different organizational levels
  • Proficiency in MS office, MS Project, Minitab and lean manufacturing
  • 6 sigma green belt trained and certified
  • Good leadership quality
  • Proficiency in PLC (Siemens, Omron & Allan Bradley) will be added advantages
  • Completes own role independently or with minimum supervision
  • cGMP Standards
    • Understands and follows appropriate training in cGMP principles
    • Shows basic knowledge of the principles and important of cGMP regulations and Global Quality Standards related to the execution of assigned work
  • Problem Solving; using A4, A3 & 6 sigma approach
    • Provide solutions to routine and a wide variety of problems ranging from simple to moderate in scope and complexity
    • Able to properly assess the situation and understand when to escalate to a higher level
    • Begins to develop competency in root cause analysis
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
    • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Work safely by not causing unsafe conditions or doing unsafe acts
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
    • Prevent product quality defects; eg intermixing, particulate contamination, etc
