The Role

A successful Media Strategy Coordinator will assist in the strategy, planning and execution of paid media both online and offline for our film and series title launches, as well as brand initiatives. This role involves a high degree of stakeholder consultation and partnership and requires an eagerness to support the development of scaled strategies while also balancing the need to tailor campaigns and learnings to local market priorities.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop detailed media plans and guide our partners on operational specifics for smooth campaign execution. Therefore, this role requires robust media expertise of the local media landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with external partners to develop comprehensive media planning and ensure seamless media buying across all media platforms, including digital and traditional media.

  • Assist the marketing team in developing paid media strategies and setting KPIs.

  • Report on campaign success evaluations and widely share learnings.

  • Develop media strategies and execution guidelines to adapt to future market changes and shifts in consumer behaviors.

  • Provide media expertises, particularly on paid social media platforms such as Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter), and collaborate with the team responsible for organic posts.

  • Support the domestic marketing team by providing best practices and recommendations for creative production tailored to each platform.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on domestic and international digital platforms to explore the utilization of products and scalable digital innovation opportunities.

  • Support feedback to domestic and international partner teams on tools to improve campaign execution management.

  • Collaborate with domestic and international media colleagues to support the accumulation and sharing of learnings.

  • Understand, endorse, and embody the company's culture and team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience supporting the strategy and development of paid media campaigns, either at an agency or on the advertiser side, in Japan.

  • Holds comprehensive knowledge of the advertising market, both online and offline, and demonstrates a strong ability to identify and adapt to trends and developments within the digital and social media landscape.

  • Experience with tactics for upper-funnel campaigns and success evaluation.

  • Basic knowledge of digital advertising management platforms, especially for Meta, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube.

  • Knowledge of paid social best practices, channel-specific creative formats, and the latest consumer-oriented strategies.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication skills in both English and Japanese, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

  • Interest and curiosity in new advertising media, technologies, and innovative industry trends.
