Audio Visual Event, Broadcast, Production, Lab support
Design, set up and operate AV systems, including audio systems, lighting, projection, and stage equipment to deliver extraordinary presentations and productions
Prepare, schedule, test, manage and live stream to internal and external Content Delivery Networks (CDN) platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, IBM Video, etc. and hybrid livestream productions using platforms and tools such as vMix, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Kaltura
Ensure reliable operation of audio visual equipment throughout the duration of events, diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise. Monitor, analyze, and solve issues regarding video, cameras, digital switchers, digital routers, digital video servers, character generators, automation, and digital routing with ability to step into core operator position as able / needed (eg. TD, PM, A1, V1, LD, EIC, broadcast engineer or show caller)
Apply knowledge of sound reinforcement techniques, digital mixing consoles, audio signal processing, and speaker placement to optimize sound quality
Apply experience of AV over IP protocols (Dante, MADI, AVB, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, etc.), ... different video standards, protocols, and various aspects of digital video (EDID management, resolutions, frame rates, sync, color depth, chroma subsampling, etc.), ... video streaming and delivery standards, codecs, protocols, etc. (RTMP, SRT, AV1, etc.)
Pre-Post Production: Venue scouting, budget creation, RFP negotiations, crew assembly, technology selections, production and run of show generation, asset gathering, and creation, appropriate format distribution to editors, detailed summaries of viewing metrics, prompt on-demand video availability, key lessons identified and communicated regarding vendor/ venue/ creative/ technical decisions and implemented moving forward
Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders, leadership, and production teams to understand audio-visual visual requirements for various types of events (in-person, hybrid, remote, etc.), and then guide/recommend, and suggest strategic, cost-effective solutions
Work closely with the in-house film production team to ensure flawless integration of AV elements with other event components, such as staging, scenic design, and multimedia content
Manage, drive and autonomously provide event and audio-visual technical support for Marketing Tier 1-3 events such as CES, GPU Tech Conference and product launch events
Design, test, prep and operate audio visual infrastructure and HW with NVIDIA's newest technology and products. Collaborate with multiple business organizations such as Marketing and Engineering for product testing, demos, solving issues, knowledge transfer, joint tasks and to establish standards, procedures and projects
Keep lab space and respective equipment well organized and systematic. Maintain and update asset tracking system, HW logs and Google / SharePoint sites with inventory of systems, displays, peripherals and components. Conduct regular maintenance and quality checks on equipment to guarantee optimal performance and minimize downtime
Initiate and drive projects and process improvements
Plan for contingencies and demonstrate the ability to transition quickly between multiple technical issues - Solve problems with time frames in minutes or hours, not days or weeks
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while driving execution on multiple deadlines and leading technical event production teams, with a deep understanding of roles and responsibilities required in a crew, based on the vision and production needs.
Streaming / broadcast engineering and experience working with live broadcasts. Live streaming is a requirement and working knowledge of vMix and virtual/remote production support
Audio visual technical experience working in hotels,conference/conventioncenters, theaters, concert venues, festivals, and other large-format AV production spaces.
Experience designing and developing globally scalable audio visual solutions for hybrid events and internet broadcast support while managing and leading vendors, integrators, technical crews and design teams for the execution of events
Proficient understanding of current and future industry standards for audio visual technology, event production, and internet broadcasts
Ability to work well autonomously or in a team environment with executives, producers, and directors, under strict timelines and constant changes throughout the event/production process with superb communication (verbal and written), presentation skills
Ability to travel up to 40% (local and international) for event setup, support and teardown (up to 14 day increments). Possess an active CA driver license (transportation of items to local events). Need to be able to lift/move objects in excess of 40 lbs on a frequent basis
