Minimum/ Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related fieldAND4+ years of post-graduate Financial Analysis, Accounting, Controllership or Finance work experience
    • OR Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related fieldAND2+ years of post-graduate Financial Analysis, Accounting, Controllership or Finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably 4+ years of experience in tax positions.
  • Professional Finance degree CA/ CPA or equivalent desired
  • Experience in Multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles isrecommended.
  • Analytical mindset and passion for process excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Manages tax compliance, including the collection of data, appropriate invoice methodology, and coordinating with local Finance, regional, and/or Corporate Tax teams to implement robust taxing and reporting processes and ensure compliance with local legislations and requirements.
  • Works with business groups to provide tax requirements related to new legislation, new product offerings, and/or new system implementation projects.
  • Works closely with multiple teams across organization and region to drive reporting changes.
  • Supports and provides tax advice to multiple business segments in the Consumer and Business sectors.
  • Advises new product lines to ensure implementation of compliant taxation and reporting procedures.
  • Partners with subject matter experts in Tax function to identify process and tool improvements.
  • Prepares responses to Tax auditors. Represents Microsoft to federal and local tax authorities during audits.
  • Advocates for Microsoft during audits and decides when to close audit filings. Collects and verifies files used during audits. Documents and shares audit findings with impacted business groups and works to implement changes with them.
  • Gathers new requirements for changes in processes and tools and implements those changes in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
