The Data Analyst is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in developing, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Requires understanding of data journey from source system to consumers in the areas of data lake and ETL Process. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Requires knowledge in Quality Engineering and Data Quality Management process and experience in the Big Data environment and Cloud Technologies. The position is also required to develop automation framework using Python/Spark /Snowflake technologies.Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Engineering and Business teams to understand the requirement & validate using Automation frameworks

  • Create Automated test cases and validate steps to ensure quality

  • Develop automation frameworks modules and solutions

  • Applies good understanding of concepts and procedures within project area to resolve data quality issues.

  • Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices.

  • Makes judgments and recommendations based on analysis and specialty area knowledge.

  • Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, define business issues and formulate recommendations

  • Execute Regression, Sanity testing suites on a regular basis

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications Required:

  • 0-2 years' experience in Hadoop or Big data environments

  • Knowledge in Big data technologies Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Hue

  • Knowledge in Python, Spark, Snowflake, Ab Initio ETL

  • Knowledge in Quality Management tools ALM, Zephyr, JIRA

  • Autosys or relevant scheduling tools

  • UNIX and Scripting knowledge


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
