• Statistically-minded:You’ve built models, validated them, and back tested them. You know how to interpret a confusion matrix or a ROC curve. You have experience with clustering, classification, time series, decision trees and deep learning.

• Strong technical skills:You’re comfortable with open-source languages and are passionate about developing further. You have hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.

• Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation

• Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business

• Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Clear results orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• AI and Risk management: Build and validate statistical and machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation and implementation. In addition, develop new ways of identifying weak spots in model predictions earlier and with more confidence than the best available methods

• Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using business, statistical and data analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations

• Product: Conceptualize and develop world class data products leveraging Machine Learning on structured and unstructured data.

• Execution: Involve problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan

• Communication:Communicate technical subject matter clearly and concisely to individuals from various backgrounds both verbally and through written communication; prepare presentations of complex technical concepts and research results to non-specialist audiences and senior management
