What you'll be doing

• Design and together with engineering teams implement infrastructure layer to support high scale and high availability needs for data and machine learning. Interface with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to perform requirements gathering and anticipate Sales-specific edge cases in the existing codebases and new solutions. Perform code development and production deployment to create applications that meet business needs and scale accordingly. Own and operate the services together with the engineering teams, through on-call experience and hands-on debugging of complex infrastructure issues, identifying root cause and solving for continuous improvement. Perform peer code review. Participate in on-call rotations. Guide and oversee the architecture and low-level application development to ensure a unified, well operable, and reliable platform.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and seven (7) year of related work experience in software development. In the alternative, the employer will accept nine (9) years of related work experience in software development.
• Must have seven (7) years of experience with/in the following:
• Performing design and development using at least two (2) of the following programming languages: Go, Java, Python, and/or C++; and
• Computer Networking including protocols.
• Must have five (5) years of experience with/in the following:
• Utilizing cloud native infrastructure and Kubernetes to deploy application code into production environments;
• Managing cloud infrastructure with a major public cloud such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure;
• Administering and maintaining data streaming infrastructure with Kafka; and
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC), in at least two (2) of the following tools: ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible, and/or Chef.
• Must have two (2) years with/in the following:
• Streaming and batch processing using at least two (2) of the following systems: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Apache Flink, and/or Apache Beam;
• Data warehousing using Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift; and
• Online advertising data and data solutions.
• Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
• Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
• 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Gross pay salary$286,225—$296,225 USD
