DESCRIPTION

The Maps Data and Tools organization curates maps related geospatial big datasets that represent the physical world at a fidelity that enables safe and efficient logistics operations in Last Mile (LM).The organization builds bigdata pipelines powered by machine learning models that curate raw maps data from multiple heterogenous sources and transform them into data artifacts consumed in (i) planning of delivery routes, (ii) providing turn-by-turn navigation instructions, (iii) generating vector map tiles used to display the map on the Rabbit app, (iv) generate safety alerts for drivers (such as speeding, road incidents), and (v) defining jurisdictions of LM delivery stations. These bigdata pipelines are augmented with geospatial tools that empower manual data operations for (i) driver feedback/escalation resolution, (ii) semi-supervised data quality guard railing, and (iii) manual map-making where machines fall short. Our technology products can be functionally grouped into (i) In-Transit Data systems that curate maps data for enriching the driver's in-transit experience (such as road network graph, real-time traffic), (ii) At-Stop Data systems that curate maps data for enriching the driver's at-stop experience (such as building outline, complex address layouts), and (iii) Tools and Infrastructure systems that power ingestion, storage and manual data quality operations.
