What a typical day looks like:

  • Coach, mentor, and support individuals to continually improve Reliability through changes to machine, man, and process.
  • Work with the maintenance group to investigate and eliminate repetitive equipment failures.
  • Manage and operate departmental resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide leadership at the operational level for developing Reliability manufacturing strategies.
  • Lead team to develop and introduce new manufacturing / reliability technologies to our production facility. Expand use of predictive maintenance tools and methods for both process and machine health. Examples include Minitab Software, Ultrasound listening devices, and remote sensors that vibration or force.
  • Drive spare parts KPI’s for min/max quantity, failure rates, consumption, and approval to purchase.
  • Manage team responsible for equipment work order tracking system (IBM product). Prior experience with a CMMS system is preferred.
  • Drive KPI’s for Work Order system such as corrections needed and % of PM’s performed on time.
  • Lead factory engineering teams to drive reliability improvements to support high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Oversee Reliability related production improvements and KPI’s to reduce downtime and frequency of failure.
  • Expand use of cycle-based maintenance in PM’s and advise Reliability Engineers on how to audit and improve existing processes by making data driven decisions.
  • Lead cross functional working sessions to determine Root Cause Analysis and ensure team member accountability for project completion.
  • Support Technicians by leading Technician Training for technical interventions related to machine reliability.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • BS in Engineering, 5 plus years’ experience in manufacturing and automation environment.
  • 5 years’ experience in Reliability.
  • Experience in Medical Manufacturing or other regulated industries Preferred
  • Strong background managing resources in a continuous manufacturing setting with high-speed equipment. Knowledge in high reliability design and tools/methods used to overcome persistent issues.
  • Manage complex projects and timelines in a matrix team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, lead teams, and function as a strong team player.
  • Independently identify risks and escalate when necessary
