As Senior Software Development Engineer at Amazon Redshift Query Processing, you will:
- Participate in the design and development of state-of-the-art SQL query engines
- Define query rewrites, optimize query execution , and leverage materialized views in distributed database
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
- Operate a large-scale, distributed service in the cloud.- Responsibility for overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.- Work on the latest technology, as we constantly build the latest research concepts into Redshift Spectrum.

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in development in the last 3 years
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
