The Difference You Will Make
While the position will be based in Seoul, this role will require regular travel to other places in Korea, as well as occasional travel abroad. This position is reporting directly to the Country Manager, Korea.
A Typical Day
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of strategic supply acquisition and retention programs and initiatives to achieve business objectives in the Korean market. This includes developing project plans, setting timelines, and managing resources to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Community, International, Policy, Legal, Hosts Communications, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Finance to align on program goals, requirements, and execution plans. Facilitate communication and coordination across teams to drive alignment and progress.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including internal teams, external partners including Airbnb ambassadors, host clubs, government officials, and vendors. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into program strategies and execution plans.
- Implement and operationalize strategic programs efficiently to achieve business goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes, tools, and methodologies. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and optimize resource allocation to maximize program impact.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of programs and initiatives. Establish tracking mechanisms and dashboards to monitor progress, identify trends, and provide regular updates to leadership on program performance.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with program execution and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor and assess risks throughout the program lifecycle, and take appropriate actions to minimize impact on program delivery.
Your Expertise
- 8+ years of combined experience in program/project management, strategy, business operations, or related roles, preferably in consumer tech
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and delivering complex programs and initiatives with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Strong bias for action and execution with an entrepreneurial perspective.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and drive results with a sense of urgency.
- Fluency in English and Korean languages required
- Availability to go to the local office 1-2 days per week required.
