Responsibilities

• Define the architectural vision and architecture for large complex solutions, ensuring it aligns with enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices.

• Describe solution intent and associated operating environment, determining the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces.

• Define non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features and expand into new opportunities.

• Ensure solutions are fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders and vendors/service providers to evaluate the impact of strategic design decisions.

• Contribute to best practices, standard templates, and architecture roadmaps for defined domains.

• Design and develop solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot, and rest specifications.

• Utilize full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging.

• Design and develop production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment.

• Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka.

• Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and

• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

• Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:

• Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot, and rest specifications;

• Utilizing full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging.

• Designing and developing production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment.

• Designing and developing new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka.

• 10% domestic travel required, as necessary.
