Purpose Statement

Sales Internship Program aim to integrate experiential, online and instructor-led training to educate the Sales Interns on how to effectively evaluate BSC new and existing markets and sell BSC’s products and services.

Individuals will be required to stay current on BSC products, programs and competitive knowledge, and be able to face up to program situations quickly, directly and without hesitation. They should be comfortable in the hospital and office-based settings and be creative in their problem solving. They will be expected to develop key relationships with key stakeholders through frequent and routine customer visits, product demonstrations, product in-services, and procedural observation.

The Internship Program is designed to help develop our entry level colleagues, and at the conclusion of the program interns will be able to understand market research, sales processes and medical devices industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training
    • Acquires an understanding of Human Anatomy with a thorough learning of BSC Products/ Processes
    • Understand Market Research & Sales Processes on the job with relevant stakeholders demonstrating aptitude for market evaluation and account management
  • Market Research
    • Evaluate new and existing markets for BSC to measure potential of accounts in an analytical manner
    • Collect and analyze data on accounts, competitors, and the marketplace to help businesses make informed decisions on any given territory
  • Data Reporting
    • Submit market research data in a defined format periodically as per the prescribed guidelines using BSC Tools and processes
    • Participate in regular reviews with relevant stakeholders presenting results and inferences in detailed and lucid manner
  • Sales Efforts
    • Participates and attends center meetings, sales meetings and professional association meetings, as and when required
    • Assist Account Executives by developing detailed follow up plans for sales accounts
    • Coordinates sales efforts under “supervision” of an Area or Regional Sales Manager
    • Build sustainable business relationships and drive sales revenue to drive sales revenue for assigned territories through building and maintaining strategic relationships with key accounts
    • Maintains accurate records of sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, appointments, and follow-up activity using a CRM tools
    • Must uphold all of the quality policies outlined within sales structure consistently and completely.
  • General
    • Maintains “open channel” communication with direct supervisors & Center Leadership Team to apprise on day-to-day and overall progress.
    • Contributes to Center / Territory based initiatives that support a positive patient experience
    • Contribute to brand building & marketing activities of BSC
    • Manage their day-to-day operations with integrity and in accordance with BSC Code of Conduct
