This role requires expertise in debugging methodologies, advanced diagnostic tools, and cross-functional collaboration to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of post-silicon engineers with expertise in semiconductor testing tools, flow, and methodologies to enable seamless product execution.
- Lead post-silicon validation, failure analysis, and root-cause debugging efforts for hardware components and systems.
- Work with design teams to define testability requirements such as DFX, DFM, and DFD.
- Oversee debug processes specifically for process and design issues at the Penang Site.
- Develop and implement advanced debugging techniques to diagnose electrical, thermal, and functional issues.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer support teams to drive critical component failure resolutions.
- Establish and maintain debugging workflows, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyse debug data trends to identify potential failure modes and optimize design and manufacturing processes.
- Utilize system setups, testing equipment, automated systems, and lab tools to isolate silicon issues under test.
- Partner to resolve quality issues, share ownership of failure analysis, and provide recommendations for permanent remedies.
- Develop new debug technologies, methodologies, and tools to advance silicon debug capabilities.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, operational budgets, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
- Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and fostering team development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
