- >90% of time spent performing hands-on tasks which may include slurry mixing, slurry recipe characterization and optimization, electrode fabrication, data analysis
- Operating and maintenance of electrode processing tooling and lab equipment
- Work closely with engineers to execute experiments as instructed
- Record electrode processing information tracking sheets
- Handle air-sensitive and hazardous materials in a glove box, dry room, or fume hood
- Prepare samples for characterization (SEM, titration, XRD, PSD, and more)
- Helping keep the lab safe and efficient
- Report any issues related to processes and assist in problem solving
- 2+ years experience working in a technical position in the battery field with experience in a laboratory setting
- Experience battery electrode processing and fabrication, preferably operating roll-to-roll equipment
- Above average manual dexterity and visual acuity in order to perform careful electrode processes, optimization and characterization
- Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office
- Ability and passion to perform hands-on tasks
- Good communication skills
- Hands-on lithium ion cell fabrication and testing preferred
