Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in software industry experience related to technology OR equivalent experience.
  • Able to communicate business-related information and conduct technical deliveries with customers and Microsoft engineers in English and either Spanish or Portuguese.
  • 3+ years experience using large scale cloud databases, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB , Azure Database for MySQL and data analytics services in Microsoft Azure or other clouds, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Understanding of end-to-end data strategies and best practices to build large scale multi-tenant solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure Subject Matter Expert with an understanding of Data and AI/ML services
  • Engineering experience as a data architect working for or with a software company or start-up.
  • Results driven and adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced ambiguous environment, and enjoys working with customers.
  • Deep understanding of different data patterns and strategies like CQRS, event sourcing, event processing, real time streaming, ETL, CDC , HTAP, and others.
  • Knowledge of different data models like relational, document, graph, key value and when to use each one.
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling and transforming data with data visualizations tools such as Power BI.
Responsibilities

Conduct architectural design sessions and reviews to advise start-ups on data strategies and architectural best practices. Translate business goals into technical needs with knowledge of Software companies and subscription-based business models.
• Drive early adoption of new Azure data services and open source technologies.
• Help customers and partners stay current with best practices by sharing content via multiple forums. Identify content improvement or troubleshooting guides.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest Microsoft Azure and open-source data innovations to conduct experiments and drive product improvement. Share knowledge through solution documents, technical communities, self-help solutions and training.
• Interact daily with other Microsoft engineers to provide technical action plans and take ownership of escalations. Partner with various Azure engineering domain experts to scope and build modules, tools and proof of concepts.
• Collaborate with the relevant product and business groups on how customers use the product. Understands and identifies gaps in customer scenarios and product limitations. Provides details to the product and business groups on customer product experience and usage. With minimal supervision, acts as a voice of customers (VOCs) to inform product and business groups on customer product experience and usage
