Sr. Manager, Payments North America – Remote
About the role:
- Manage high levels of complexity: collaborate with business leaders of adjacent domains like customer growth & acquisition, identity, lifecycle messaging, etc. to negotiate and identify trade-offs that optimize business holistically
- Challenge the status quo: suggest new features that solve tactical and strategic problems
- Investigate: Research issues using a keen understanding of our data, our payment stack, and the broader payments ecosystem
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytics and statistical tools to analyze transaction data, uncover patterns, and provide actionable insights. Develop and present comprehensive reports on payment trends to senior management
- Insights: Turn the data into action to improve payment success rate and increase retention
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, technology, compliance, and legal teams to ensure alignment on fraud prevention strategies and regulatory requirements
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in fraud prevention and risk management
- Vendor management: Ensure vendors are all performing to the highest standards. Have deep knowledge of how each vendor operates, products and services available, and conduct regular meetings to stay updated
About you:
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in subscription payments, ideally direct to consumer, recurring payments
- Experience: Must have deep knowledge of and hands-on experience with major payment processors who focus on recurring billing, ideally to be familiar with Chase, Adyen, PayPal, Worldpay
- Education: BA/BS/BBA degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred
- Stellar Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Relationship Builder: Must build strong, positive relationships with vendors, issuers, and card brands, in addition to internal stakeholders
- Analytical Thinker: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Tenacious: See all projects, processes, problems through to completion, overcoming any hurdles in the way, ensuring solutions are delivered
- Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
