Description
This position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical and communication skills to handle responsibilities including: - Architecting and building the software stack to implement new features in the Health space- Participating in architecture and code reviews- Building internal tools as needed to help ship high quality software- Performance tuning to deliver the best experience to users
Minimum Qualifications
  • Solid programming skills in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, Go, Rust
  • Object oriented programming and design skills
  • Experience developing reusable public or private APIs
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-directed, analytical, and works well in a team environment
  • Comfortable working at both higher and lower levels of software
  • Have built projects using Objective-C or Swift and experience with iOS, macOS, and/or tvOS SDKs
  • Experience building performant SW for embedded systems
  • Experience working with sensor data (e.g. accelerometer, heart rate sensor) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with IOKit, Objective-C and other iOS/OS X frameworks is a plus
  • Familiarity with debugging and profiling code in both kernel and user space
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $174,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
