What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the development of new products and processes under the guidance of the Product Development Supervisor.

  • Participate in Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) teams and support program managers.

  • Help manage project timelines, track open issues, and ensure timely closure.

  • Work with internal and external design teams to interpret blueprints for powder metal products.

  • Contribute to feasibility reviews and recommend improvements using data-driven insights.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.

  • Create Gantt charts and report on project deliverables.

  • Support cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in floor plan design, considering lean manufacturing and automation principles.

  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.

  • Engage in automation project tasks and cross-departmental collaboration (Maintenance, QA, HR, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science .

  • Some exposure to manufacturing, tooling, design, or the automotive industry is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and simulation reports.

  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

Technical & Skill Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and Autocad preferred

  • Demonstration of CNC and related machining skills considered a strong asset

  • Knowledge of GD&T with blueprint reading ability considered a strong asset

  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands):

  • Primarily office environment with some time spent in manufacturing facilities

  • Day shift
