Job responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and maintain an accurate Architecture Current, Target state, and Target State Roadmaps for your application portfolio
  • will be a business domain expert and understands the business strategy and the technical capabilities that must exist to realize the desired business outcomes and will be responsible for functional, data, application and technology architecture.
  • Influence product owners and guide application teams to create and maintain business process flows for their portfolio.
  • Data domains, data products and data models for their portfolio in partnership with product owners, data owners and application teams
  • Participates in data & domain architecture governance bodies
  • Evaluates recommendations and provides feedback for new technologies
  • Executes creative data architecture solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions and break down technical problems
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Facilitates evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes through probing of data architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads data architecture communities of practice to drive awareness and use of modern data architecture technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Wealth Management technology experience working across Wealth Planning & Advice, Investing, Lending, Banking with cross-asset experience including Fixed Income, Equities, and Alternatives (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Applied experience with strong proficiency in software development methodologies, architecture frameworks, design patterns, testing and operational stability
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience establishing vibrant engineering communities and guilds
  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture
