Your key responsibilities:
As a staff supporting digital practice engagements, you will be expected to work effectively as team member, share responsibilities with your peers, provide all necessary support to your peers and leadership, and be able to communicate and update the senior team members on progress made; provide all necessary support to your peers and leadership, and be able to communicate and update team members on progress. In addition, you will be responsible for the following:
- Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to understand software requirements and define test objectives.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve identified issues.
- Participate in test planning sessions to identify test automation opportunities and coverage areas.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy and test plans for the testing processes Test Development: Design, develop, and maintain test scripts and frameworks using appropriate tools and programming languages (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Implement modular and maintainable testing capabilties to ensure scalability and ease of maintenance.
- Integrate testing tasks and activities into the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative and quality-driven development environment. Clearly communicate test progress, test results, and potential risks to team members and project stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
In addition to your client responsibilities, you will also be expected to fulfil staff-level responsibilities within the firm. EY staff support people-related initiatives, including recruiting events and interview nights. Staff are also expected to support and participate in internal, firm activities, including training programs and courses in order to stay current on training requirements and continuously improve technical skills. Lastly, you will be expected to understand and follow all workplace policies and procedures, including all applicable Independence policies.
Skills and attributes for success
You will ideally have previous exposure to technology consulting, and a keen interest in advising the US government and Public sector. You should have strong communication skills, and business and technology acumen, and have a passion for delivering value to our clients.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, which will be driven by the engagement requirement.
- Experience executing test scripts to validate software functionalities, performance, and security.
- Experience monitor and analyzing test results, identifying defects and inconsistencies to provide accurate and actionable feedback to the development team.
- Experience or interest in one of the following areas:
- Test Maintenance and Documentation
- Continuous Improvement: Staying current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in test automation. Identifying areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness. Participating in retrospectives and contribute to the implementation of lessons learned.
- Emerging Technology – Including but not limited to Blockchain, Robotics Process Automation, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, etc.
- Digital / User Experience – Digital Strategy, Digital Marketing, IT Transformations, UX Design, SharePoint, Digital Product & Project Management, Prototyping, User Experience Design, etc.
- Cloud Technology – Journey-to-Cloud, Cloud Strategy, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Information Architecture, etc.
What we offer

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $75,800 to $125,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $90,900 to $142,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
