Manager in ESG Advisory, Climate Change and Sustainability Services
The EY Climate Change & Sustainability Services (CCaSS) Team is looking for a market - facing talented manager with experience in
- Climate change and sustainability consulting, ESG Advisory including ESG Reporting, ESG Rating advisory or ESG Strategy development, with
- Exposure of corporate and financial market clients to environmental and climate risks, with
- Perspectives to innovation in sustainable value creation, ESG due diligence, sustainable finance solutions and impact reporting of allocated sustainable assets.
Your key responsibilities
In this role you will work as part of a wider team to support business development efforts, win project work and advise EY's clients on sustainability advisory, assurance and related services. In addition you will contribute to the development of a market leading team that is capable of providing board level strategic advice and winning large transformation engagements that leverage the wider competencies of EY as well as raise EY's profile in the market, especially in relation to the climate change and sustainability debates. You will
- Support clients through engagements to manage their sustainability journey in ESG roadmap and strategy development, ESG reporting and rating advisory, climate risk and carbon footprint measurement, responsible supply chains, and non-financial reporting (GRI, TCFD, SASB, ISSB etc. standards), adding sustainable finance regulation and compliance checks (SFDR, NFRD, CSRD, CSDD etc.) as advisors but also as assurance services (e.g. ISAE 3000, ICMA GBP, SLP etc.)
- Actively contribute to sustainable capital market projects for FSI and non-FSI clients, like green bond issuance, responsible and ESG investment strategies, and ESG rating of several layers of organizations
- Collaborate with Managers, Senior Manager and Partners to execute a CCaSS strategy that satisfies high client expectations, support the planning, execution and delivery of the engagements
- Manage and develop a client-focused, clear, accurate and well-presented work product in line with CCaSS strategy
- Generate and identify business opportunities by developing ideas, solutions to present to clients.
- Lead proposals and creation of tailor made offerings and take them successfully to clients
- Manage the end-to-end project delivery in compliance with EY high standard requirements
- Work with other service lines and subject matter experts in providing an integrated service delivery across functions in an international team to meet the client high expectations.
- Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to the client and its industry.
- Assist in developing new opportunities related to new CCaSS projects and relationships.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a position focused on external or internal sustainability, climate change or ESG advisory / assurance, Prior consulting experiences are an advantage, but less experiences candidates will also be considered.
- Agile personality who has hunger for success and can actively, independently develop our business
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, for example finance / economics / engineering or environmental science or in relevant field
- Understanding of the key Climate Change and Sustainability issues, regulatory basis, current market best practices, and drivers by how they link to business value,
- Proven track record of project management and delivery - in consulting engagements around sustainability.
- Deep understanding of sustainability best practices in areas of transformation, supply chain, digitization, business model innovation and value measurement
- Exceptional commercial and leadership skills combined with entrepreneurial mind set
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and environment, managing team members to successfully deliver projects
- Strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hungarian
