Duties: Drive investment finance product innovation and define long-term product direction with initial focus on refining product offering and internal support strategy for new lending products for Citi Private Bank (CPB) LATAM. Originate, structure, and execute highly complex credit transactions. Responsible for profitable and capital returns analysis of structured lending transactions to define appropriate pricing strategy and maximize returns on tangible common equity for the firm. Identify cross- CPB and cross-Institutional Clients Group (ICG) financial product opportunities to enhance the lending product offering for CPB LATAM. Perform lending portfolio reviews utilizing Citi’s proprietary platforms and technologies to identify key risks and implement mitigants to minimize residual risks for products. Lead investment and financial product enhancements and work with Citi franchises (business, legal, product, Operations and Technology, etc.) to develop the legal and operational framework and technology requirements to launch new lending products. Act as primary point of contact for products developed. Perform comprehensive compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) matrix to document policies and regulations and ensure products are compliant with existing business risk and controls framework. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering (any) or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the structured lending product development field. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Creating sales strategies to roll-out new lending products by developing and managing marketing campaigns and assets leveraging Salesforce system; Conducting portfolio reviews to assess quality indicators including total facilities approved limit, total outstanding and unused commitments, concentration risk, portfolio risk ratings, and risk capital consumption; Performing financial analyses of main credit relationships in terms of historical and forecasted outstanding and unused commitments growth and its return on capital profile; Performing financial transactions and assessing legal lending documentation while adhering to banking regulations; Utilizing financial accounting concepts to analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows to assess the financial health of companies to identify potential risks and take appropriate measures to mitigate them; and Applying legal, regulatory, and fiscal frameworks and assessing foreign currency fluctuations, inflation, transfer restrictions, accounting, and tax principles to recommend structured lending products. 40 hrs./wk. 25% domestic and international travel required.
