Job Description

• Directs strategies and policies governing the acquisition of goods, services and contracts for the organization.
• Manages the contract coordination and implementation activities. Negotiates price and terms for products and services delivered.
• Analyzes business conditions to determine present and future needs for supplies and materials.
• Supervises team and directs purchasing activities for goods or services.
• Manages a team which performs market analysis to determine vendor sources, manages vendor relationships and evaluates vendor performance.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail, Decision Making and Critical Thinking, Industry Knowledge, Negotiating, Process ManagementRoles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required.
